LC Thread 2020: What the PUNK? ROCK.

Now that’s far too cynical - you’re forgetting the warm bed at night that they try to push you out of.

Port Of Call was one of the most surreal films I’ve ever seen. Really dynamic when you consider what the film reads like on paper.

This is not true for all cats. My first, and only, cat (Omega RIP) would sleep on my belly every night. She would cat around the neighborhood at night and when, inevitably, she was confronted by a physically superior cat would run up a tree and meow until I came out and got her. She also knew the sound of my car’s engine and would run home to meet me when I arrived.

Brodinger’s cat. You can choose to believe or not.

I’m voting it’s a real display of affection. Cats often will place themselves in front of or on top of things that thieir owner handle/give attention to frequently.

I’m guessing the combination of the owner frequently playing the piano and being on their phone triggered this.

My wife and I had a cat who liked to sleep on us who would make sure that if he couldn’t lay across both of us he at least had a paw touching whoever he wasn’t laying on.

I’ve been around dogs like that - always one paw touching to make sure you’re still there.

Reminder that if you die at home with only your dog in the house, it will probably eat you.

Yeah 2 out of our 3 cats are ridiculously affectionate and definitely miss us when we’re gone. Our boy cat greets me at the door when I come home every day and will come up and just incessantly headbutt you and lick/nibble your arm until you give him the attention he wants.

If you died at home with your best human friend and they couldn’t leave or use a can opener or whatever they’d probably eventually eat you too.

They’d wait a lot longer than a dog.

I plan to repurpose this into a joke about how if you locked me in the house with you and I couldn’t leave or use a can opener I’d eat you too. It needs refinement but it has potential. It’s definitely funnier when you’re telling someone that you’d eat them.

In 24 percent of the cases in the 2015 review, which all involved dogs, less than a day had passed before the partially eaten body was found. What’s more, some of the dogs had access to normal food they hadn’t eaten.

Interesting article.

My ultimate purpose is life in to feed my dog, so I’m ok with that.

Environmentalism amirite?

I’m pretty sure my dog would eat your dog.

Yeah, looking at your dog’s eyes; she/he might be more spoiled than mine and that takes real effort.

You say that like it’s a bad thing?

He has pretty wild ideas about a lot of things! He is so interesting. Like a brilliant alien of some kind. He sees the world is a completely unique way.

Port Of Call is the only Herzog film I can remember seeing. I’m not watching the bear doc but what would you recommend next?

I might have seen a few others but weed. Remember when IFC was pure arthouse and their weren’t commercials? Sigh.
