Do you think it would have tasted better with non-vegan cheese? What if you added seitan bacon or real bacon? Is there a good bacon substitute?
It felt a little clumpy like the texture was a little off, almost like it didn’t melt all the way. Maybe it’s just how it was cooked. It probably would have been better with real cheese but I honestly couldn’t tell the difference.
Bacon would’ve made it 11/10. They have meatless bratwurst that’s decent, and they do have meatless bacon but I’m very skeptical of that one.
And yea I definitely did not have that nasty brick in my gut feeling that eating a double cheeseburger would normally give me.
Bacon flavor is so dominated by salt and smoke, I would think a bacon substitute would be pretty easy. Even smoked tempeh makes for a delicious TLT sandwich
I have this strong desire to mix meat with vegan food. I’m a big proponent of tofu going well with pork, for example. I believe in less meat, not no meat, so bacon from a pig on top of a meatless burger is something I would like to experiment with.
I’d be concerned about replicating the texture of bacon. I like my bacon pliable, not crispy.
Now, I want to write something where a supporting character is a self-professed bacon-tarian who has given up all meat except bacon.
I have done this many times. BJ’s has a $10 Beer + Burger special on Wednesdays and I’ll get the Jalapeno Bacon Burger sub meatless patty. Tastes great.
I order vegetarian sandwiches(add bacon) on a regular basis at restaurants.
I tried to transport a spider outside today with tissue paper. Freaking thing died from the awful crush of tissue paper. We’ve found their weakness.

Nerd Alert incoming - in a past life I was a science guy so these things interest me but Mars is the closest it is going to be to Earth until 2035. If you look due East and then moving southeast throughout the night it’s easily identifiable with the naked eye.
