I realized yesterday that I’ve been viewing Trump/Hannity’s attorney in the wrong light. I was thinking they are shameless idiots, but now I see the genius in it, they are grifting the rich idiots by convincing them that they have actionable legal cases, then charging them ridiculous sums of money to threaten and draft absurd legal threats that have no chance in winning, but a solid chance of generating a big chunk of fees.
This is why it’s hard to get behind any of the “capitalism is fine” or “were a capitalist party” politicians. It’s clearly not fine and getting worse.
One of the ongoing jokes in Futurama is robots doing obtuse things. If we ever make it to machine-intelligent personal assistant-type robots - I bet it will be like dealing with someone with Aspergers times 100 or something. Everything will be literal.

What you’ve outlined is not the best strategy for a known deadbeat client.
Depends, you can set the terms for how payment is handled. If he doesn’t abide by them by failing to timely pay, for example, you can withdraw from representation.
I suspect they take whatever precautions against getting fucked that they can. At least in Trump’s case, I suspect that he is able to get his campaign to cover a lot of expenses, so Trump is not likely to stand in the way of those bills getting paid.
