I read about a tribe in the Amazon called the Yanomami, so I googled to see what they look like and what their villages are like. Apparently the most beautiful woman in the world lives in one. Crazy.
(It says she’s 22 btw so I’m not being that creepy)

I’m such an old git before I even saw the line about her at 39 I was going to post something speculating about that aspect of aging which seems to affect some more than others.
It’s fairly common among young Euro males to compare how fast females from different countries lose their looks lol. People usually place Mediterraneans at the top of that list.

In Germany I’d say only a few percent but if you happen to live near where footballers or bankers live it’s going to be a lot higher.

I know you don’t really mean anything bu it, but I would vote against just wandering around in public for the purpose of assessing girls looks out of 10. Kind of a creepy behavior.

I don’t think so? Has more to do with feeling for a bunch of women just trying to go about their day. I am not, like, furious about the suggestion but I kind of think maybe we don’t have to objectify a bunch of strangers for no reason, right?

“Objectify” is far too strong for saying who you think is attractive and who isn’t.
I guess mosdef’s reaction is to the deliberate nature of the research, and if lapka had been out shopping or coming home from work and had posted about the high number of attractive females she’d noticed, it would be fine.
Yes I agree with that. I wasn’t careful in picking out words. My only point is that if I, personally, had the notion that I would go about my day with the intention of rating random women on their looks, my next thought would be “that’s really unnecessary and kind of gross”. That’s all. I don’t think there’s a need to dive deeper into it.

Yes, but there’s a huge difference between someone doing it as a predator or doing it as interesting and quite innocent research. If a hetero man did it I agree it would be awkward.

Just wound up a navy veteran at work by telling him that the next US supercarrier was going to be called the USS Barack Hussein Obama, “IT BETTER NOT BE!” Looked up what the next carriers were actually going to be called and the one named after this dude might make him even madder.
He wanted to know when the USS Donald J. Trump was going to be launched.
