26% seems low for Trump there.
too bad this would result in everyone but bernie party voting for the same shit
I’m late to the party, but is this what you’re talking about:
- John Daly
- Tiger Woods
- Pete Sampras
- Nicky Winmar
- Malcolm Jagammara
Seriously can’t think of a single celebrity I’ve ever spoken to. I went to school with Lleyton Hewitt but he was in the year below me, it was before he was famous and I never spoke to him. I did see his dad slap him after he lost a game of tennis.
Could be worthy of its own thread, but I predict that a multi-party parliamentary system in America would have the left fractured, with African-American, Latinx, union/labor, maybe feminist, possibly LGBTQ. I’d actually predict multiple black identity parties.
Imagine a Christian conservative party organized purely around social issues which will happily ally with either an economic left or right coalition, in order to gain concessions on its key issues.
I went to school with a few well known rugby players but I didn’t even think to mention them. Probably only be Aussies who would have heard of them, like a couple of the people I have listed.
I’m not sure as an American I could name 5 Aussie celebrities:
Olivia Newton John
Yahoo Serious
Paul Hogan
Agnes Young
Steve Irwin
One’s dead. Another one is some old comic no one even remembers except me. Olivia Newton John is maybe the only one I’d recognize on the street.
Nicole Kidman
Sia
Margot Robbie
Jim Jefferies
You don’t know HugJackman?
Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Toni Collette, Guy Pearce, Rose Byrne, Naomi Watts, all of the Hemsworth brothers, Rebel Wilson, Keith Urban, Kylie Minogue, Mel Gibson.
There’s also a heap of lower level Aussie actors showing up in US tv shows.
Hundreds of cricketers, several tennis players and politicians, Clive James, Germaine Greer, Nick Cave, Kylie and Jason, Norman Gunston and to wind Chris up Dame Edna and Sir Les Patterson.
Never understood Dame Edna. Insanely unfunny.
I’ve met a heap of cricketers too but who cares about them?
Obviously you’re not a golfer.
Ellen Degeneres’ wife, Portia de Rossi is strayan. Also possibly abused apparently.
Well I haven’t actually met any of the people on my last list - like @suzzer99 I was trying to name all the Aussies I 'd heard of.
They’re assuming Evangelical types are reluctantly supporting Donnie Dumb Dumb and would vote Ted Cruz if only that were possible. You know, because they’re so principle about their religion.
