Live in Paris is confirmed his best concert with the best renditions of many songs, including “Bring It On,” “Just Like You Said,” and an acoustic version of the song that catapulted him to a new level of fame: “Kiss from a Rose.”
I especially love this closing performance of “Future Love Paradise.” The audience-participation portion singing “Na na–na na na, na na na” gets me to sing along whenever I hear it.
But while his performance of “Dreaming in Metaphors” is otherwise sublime, my man Seal Henry would have been wise to let the audience take that high note at 3:54. He sounds worse than my cat after three heavies.
