My intro was flippant, but I honestly don’t know how to read this article (quoting the person leading the inquiry) except that he considers the SWP and the opinion to defund the police, as things in themselves worthy of new laws to prevent or disrupt.

Exactly, it used to happen with cricket tours. Yeah, we sell them weapons, continue to have supportive diplomatic and economic ties, but the Jockey Club needs to watch itself!
