You lot have had a terrible time with Trump but you stand a chance of getting rid. Weāve been consigned to the laughing stock of recent history by morons like this guyās neighbours who ādidnāt understandā what Brexit meant.
The UK is a dumber more reactionary country than the US. I just think our idiocy doesnāt get as much of a spotlight because the country is totally defunct on the international stage and deviod of any cultural significance.
You may well be right, but there were a LOT of really awful Americans when I visited 25 years ago, and I hate to think how that number must have multiplied since then.
I do wonder sometimes how we became this awful (sons/daughters of Thatcher ldo). From the country that, outwardly anyway, supported the underdog to one that cheers on racism and the far right because itās so stupid that itās completely swallowed the gutter press reactionary racism without a moment of rational analysis or even the feeling that they might be getting conned by a cohort of the establishment and the financial elite. I despair.

We are the same as USA in that both nations are split between genuinely good intelligent forward thinking people, and reactionary nationalist exceptionalists, Both nations now have the privilege of being lead by narcissistic buffoons. We are locked in a self delusional race to the bottom, and its anybodies guess how low we can go.
At least the US has a chance in November to steady its ship somewhat, weāve got years of these idiots to come

āA path to citizenshipā could mean anything, and given the recent record on throwing out people who were obvious citizens on account of not being white, I imagine itāll be a points based monstrosity designed to fail for most.
