Yeah as far as I know the drinking age is 21 everywhere in the US. What about taxes? Should kids pay taxes when they canât yet vote?
There are a bunch of things that adults should have to do or be able to do that kids shouldnât. All of these responsibilities and abilities should be phased in over a range of years, maybe 16 to 21, instead of a cliff of adulthood where everything drops on you all at once. Where exactly in that range you want to place voting, drinking, age of consent, etc can be debated, but those numbers shouldnât all be the same.
I donât think 16 year olds should be working in bars, but, just for the record, 18 year olds can already serve alcohol in lots of states where the drinking age is 21
