I guess I agree it’s possible. I’m basing what I said on what I saw here and elsewhere from US media, which was to ignore the work done by Moon and criticise Trump for even meeting KJU. But it’s not like that would be based on knowledge or principle, so I suppose with Obama doing what he wanted and briefing accordingly it could be different.
I do think the military is more invested in its presence in S Korea than it was in opposing the Cuba stuff, but then not sure if that’s true of its hard on for Iran. It’d be interesting to know if the people speculating that NK engaged because they thought Trump was a wildcard are correct, but second guessing NK is probably a fool’s game.
