Kamala / Walz 2028

For a candidate too often criticized for offering too few big policy proposals while running for president, Vice President Kamala Harris sure announced a big one Tuesday.

She proposed that, if elected, she would want Medicare to cover in-home healthcare services for the nation’s senior citizens.

Harris made her announcement during an appearance on the popular TV chat show, The View.

She’s a cop. Her selecting Republicans can be more about ideological agreement than reaching across the aisle.

Incrementalist, but not a bad direction. I’d like to see the Medicare age lowered, but probably more important that it actually covers people after retirement without needing supplemental insurance or having to go broke on things that aren’t covered.

for sure. and it’s a sign of how far we’ve shifted in the wrong direction when she (far and away) has been anointed the safe and reasonable choice. lesser of two evils indeed

Funny how you missed a massive expansion of Medicaid, which was the big news of the day.

That doesn’t mean she doesn’t count prosecuting people and wars among her positives.

Like a healthier alternative to the old “donut hole” problem that Obama fixed.

Actually, you have it backwards.

Lol. You mean they can’t use your cherry picked numbers that you literally say are meaningless whenever when a GOP POTUS is in office.

Record low unemployment, GDP, stocks and real wages way up vs. some inflation that’s already tapered off and vibes.

If an R was president right now, I would be saying the president doesn’t control the economy, other issues are more important than the economy, etc. I wouldn’t be trying to pretend the economy sucks when it historically couldn’t be much better.

Agree. Just find the least impactful cabinet position and give it to the least objectional republican possible. I think this plays well to a small portion and probably alienates an even smaller one, so it’s small net benefit. Even pursuing slight edges is not a bad idea in this election.

What’s the least impactful cabinet level position? Was thinking interior but Liz Cheney would be giving Exxon drilling leases in Yellowstone in like 10 minutes
