Canada has no limit on abortions, but good luck finding a doctor that will perform an abortion on a baby that is currently viable (3rd trimester) and without any health issues that also doesnāt pose any health risks to the mother.
This is true of the people you interact with online. But I guarantee you my aunts believe women are getting last minute elective abortions en masse.
I got into this with my Trumpy BIL.
I said itās bullshit, no women are getting viable fetuses aborted at 9 months or after. Late term abortions are only in case of health issues to the mother or non-viable fetuses.
BIL: āCan you guarantee thatās the case? Even one is too many.ā
Me: āCan we apply that standard to school shootings?ā

lol, itās never about protecting the unborn, only about punishing women. Thereās no free prenatal care! What about one dead baby who could have been saved by an emergency C-section that happened thanks to comprehensive prenatal care? Nope, no big deal. The woman deserved that because of the failings of her body.

Iām fine with giving up something like Veterans Affairs to someone like Kinzinger or Cheney, but not something along the lines of AG or Defense.
I mean itās probably a smart move to say that. Us leftists are ride or die Kamala. None of us are staying home. But trying to pick off a few people who are Republican but sick of Trump (a number I think is much larger than most imagine) is reasonable.

Thatās been the R strategy for a while - demotivate black people or other parts of the Dem base. Itās such a cynical strategy.
The commercial they aired during SNF (or MLB playoffs I canāt remember which) had black people literally crying because of the price of groceries and gas and contrasting it with Kamala laughing and smiling and praising Bidenomics.
The most galling part of the commercial was the intro: āA majority of Americans believe that the economy has gotten worse under Joe Biden.ā Yeah because you constantly tell them that! Canāt use actual economic numbers because most of them are so good.
she did a long form interview on Howard Stem this afternoon, and definitely had a couple of cringy responses sprinkled throughout. her positives included how many people she put into prison and our incredibly deadly military.
