Kamala / Walz 2028

White Christian men make up the biggest group in the teamsters and that’s not a good demo for Kamala.

Nurses union (NNU) and SEIU endorse Harris. Demographics is the difference.

California Teamsters endorsed Harris. California is about 35% white.

i loved the teamsters letter it was like, Biden was great, dems bailed out our pensions, Harris promised to push good law and veto bad law, trump agreed to nothing, our ignorant members voted 58-31 in favor of Trump, so we are endorsing no one.

Why would members of a union support the anti union candidate? It makes no sense

Their membership is too stupid to understand they are voting against their own self interests. To an extreme.

Fuck workers

Ok ok I like workers but they shouldn’t have a vote

And they should just know that a party who ignores them isn’t as bad as the other party who panders to them even if only with words

Up until recently I worked in a union shop that was primarily older, male, and white. It was the ultimate two button meme choice.

The Republicans don’t simply ignore unions. They have actively worked to destroy them for the last 50 years.

i think invisible touch is the group’s undisputed masterpiece, its an epic meditation on intangibility at the same time it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding 3 albums

No. Fuck racists and misogynists, even if they happen to be blue collar.

It would be trivially easy to make the main Democrat messaging be “we are for workers and the GOP is for bosses” and it’s misplaced anger and counter productive to just say blue collar workers are (more) racist than (white collar)

This is why y’all can’t understand that some “racist” Trump voters voted for Obama. Obama’s messaging got 5% of the way to pro worker anti boss, compared to the usual 0-1%

People get their politics from their family, peer groups, and regional identity. The dens for generations now have completely abandoned growing that within those groups because of their donors and because they flat out prefer a more polished class of voter

Getting mad at workers is to me like getting mad at poor people for doing more crime

You know how populationsbact under various conditions. Focus on changing the conditions that produce the outcomes you hate. Fruitless or actually negatively perpetuating to get mad at the people

And it’s not just Kamala being a woman. Biden is at least pretty clearly perceived as being more pro-worker and Union than Kamala.

But rich white bosses love Trump too. White people in America are terrified of becoming a minority whether they are rich or not, boss or worker.

And Obama still deported people and pre-Trump immigration wasn’t as partisan.
