Kamala / Walz 2028

Yet there are lots of working class people with solid lefty class based political views who embrace trans people non white workers

Two things can be true. These folks can be racist pieces of shit. And the social and political root causes go back to capitalism and shitty Dems.

You can be mad at the person who breaks into your car, and also understand the policies that are going to do the best job of preventing it.

Yep, and they don’t do a good enough job talking to their fellow workers, and are already at a big disadvantage in trying to do so due to Dem messaging (and policy to a lesser extent than messaging)

Also, I have learned that “non white” is kind of a problematic term

And they can vote for Obama while thinking the USA is being overrun by cat eating people from Haitia.

Yeah that’s what totally caused most of them to vote Trump

How many people do you think believe that?

I was saying it in a funny way, but immigration is the number one issue for Trump voters. It’s 3 of the 20 points in the Republican Party platform. They wave signs saying “Mass Deportation Now”. It’s the issue this election and Harris would get crushed if she weren’t sending the Army to the border herself. People suck.

And it’s all over Europe too. The right is ascendant there entirely because of immigration. And most likely it will get worse.

Seeing this for the first time is definitely a Poe’s Law experience. It’s flat out Nazi shit.

They all have such similar handwriting

excuse me. That game is called cornhole, i don’t care if you don’t want to print that…that’s the name of that game. Also, the “modern” version originated in Cincinnati.

Verrett and Chavez Rodriguez pointed to Harris’ long track record with unions as a motivating factor among these workers. That includes the time she said she worked at McDonald’s when she was a student, her backing of an initiative targeting wage theft and illegal labor practices as California attorney general, and her introduction of legislation to protect workers against the harms of working in extreme heat as a U.S. senator.

During her first run for president, Harris walked a picket line in 2019 with workers from General Motors outside of Reno, Nevada. That same year in Las Vegas, she marched with McDonald’s employees who were on strike asking for more pay.

The last Democratic president, Obama, never appeared on a picket line, though as a candidate he said he was willing to.

“We stand at a crossroads in this country. We can put a billionaire back in office who stands against everything our union stands for, or we can elect Kamala Harris who will stand shoulder to shoulder with us in our war on corporate greed. This campaign is bringing together people from all walks of life, building a movement that can defeat Donald Trump at the ballot box. For our one million active and retired members, the choice is clear: We will elect Kamala Harris to be our next President this November.”

The notion that Obama was much more pro-union in his campaign than Harris, who’s actually been out walking picket lines, unlike Obama ever did, and who gave union leaders primetime speaking spots at the DNC, unlike Obama ever did, is just plain imaginary.

Is this what people think white guys sound like?

Feels very region specific

Of course it will get worse. Climate refugees are going to increase by massive numbers in the next two decades.

I hope Pete can come somewhere close to Crenshaw’s performance on Maher’s show a few weeks ago.

This was during the Overtime thing Bill does (Crenshaw was even better at this during the first part of the episode) and aired pre Harris-orange debate. His blather at about 10:40 and 14:10 are pretty effective at sounding substantive which is all Vance needs to do.

And by that you mean Americans seeking refuge in Canada?

In Canada you’re not allowed to shoot at a home intruder unless they are a threat to you. Makes sense, if someone is running away you don’t get the right to murder them based on location.

Also, probably very difficult to unlock your guns and your ammunition which have to be stored separately in time to confront them. Also, no one breaks into homes they just steal cars in this country.
