Feels a bit exploity to me but its a good commercial.
Itâs fun how we still think that these first-hand accounts of horrible injustices suffered by vulnerable people as a result of republican policy is going to somehow stop the people who are gleefully and purposefully inflicting horrible injustices on vulnerable people from wanting to keep doing the thing that they love most in the world.

That and I do think that we tend to forget that lots and lots and lots of people barely pay any attention to politics for 3.9 out of every 4 years but might still vote in a Presidential election. We all know the Republicans are trying to enact an fascist theocracy that ruin the lives of millions of people. A lot of potential voters donât know that because theyâre busy taking care of their kids and trying to finish their work day.

Sure, the ad will not persuade hardly any men who arenât already on board, but how many Republican women are out there? Forty-two percent of 74 million Trump voters is 31 million. Of those, tragically, weâd estimate that about 6 million of them are victims of rape or attempted rape, and of those, about 2 million of them were victimized when under 18. Is every last one of those people an irredeemable piece of shit who revels in making women suffer at the hands of their rapists? I doubt it. We say on here all the time that Republicans donât care about something unless it happens to them or someone close to them. Well, rape is something that happens to women regardless of party, and a lot of them are seeing what happens when men ban abortion without regard for rape victims. There are tons of women in Kansas who voted for Trump but then turned around and voted for abortion rights. I donât think zero of those women could be persuaded to vote for someone other than Trump whoâs better on abortion rights and whoâs not a rambling buffoon.

Lord knows I hope youâre right. To me it seems like a stretch to think that someone who is so insulated from politics that they really yet havenât formed an opinion on Donald Trump would be persuaded by a political ad, but if there are three of them out there in Pennsylvania, go nuts.
