I feel like Harris and the Dems has been winning the news cycle ever since Biden dropped out, which historically has been hard to do against Trump
This week, the stock market crash turned out to be a nothingburger, and the real news was the VP pick and swing state tour. Don’t know what next week brings, but after that we have the DNC.
They’re just as racist and culturally conservative as the white people who hate them. It’s incredible, really

The swiftboating thing feels like it’s going to get a cycle, though I struggle to imagine it has true long-term legs. I think giving it legs would require some sort of poor attempt at a response that actually makes it a thing.

These other lines of attack are so goofy that they’re curing me of the need to get too skittish about the swiftboating attack becoming a thing, even though legacy media is dutifully running with it. If the GOP really thought they had something, I think they would have ceased the “throw every possible thing at the wall” strategy and focused in on that one.

I suffered through 5 minutes of AM radio this morning and they seem to be all in on him lying about his service record. I couldn’t handle it long enough to find out what they were even talking about. I’m sure it’s 99.9% bs.
I really hope that if/when he addresses it he says “We all know they’re lying about my distinguished record of service, of which I am very proud. This is what they come up with so they don’t have to talk about:” and then hammer the issues.

The Harris campaign quietly tweaked something small in his bio to word it more precisely, the reaction to which I saw was “okay, now that’s exactly right.” Basically seems like that reflects the level of error that was made.
