Like, the citizens who are being massacred right now didn’t do anything you mentioned in this post. Maybe they shouldnt be the ones who should be held responsible?
I mean I just got done with a 16-hour shift and I’m not even trying to argue that the protestors are making the optimal choice, so I’m not going to be as specific or articulate as I’d like, but surely you can imagine various arguments to protest the “better” candidate if they’re trying to actually get anywhere

IMO it’s only a very small percentage of people who will get truly drawn into these internecine battles. Most people either running on vibes alone or are capable of balancing nuance.
The surprising thing isn’t people on this forum descending into whatever they’re descending into, it’s the fact that it feels like it’s been several weeks straight where everybody here has been completely united.

The median voter who puts their religion over the welfare of the country is Republican.
Problems start when the tenants of a particular religion become a political platform. I would strongly prefer a France-like approach to church/state issues.
