It is, but primary stuff gets held against candidates. I’d have to see the polling but my first guess would be that as a black person, Kamala is automatically seen as ‘too liberal’ and ads detailing her positions in the primary are going to reinforce that so you want someone who could appear to counter that.
He’s a chump but the 30,000 foot view is the same. Everyone’s feeling the same way, Shapiro is Pennsylvania and appears to be be more conservative. Waltz is a far better candidate in my opinion, but having Harris and someone who’s going to appear to be liberal is going to push voters to perceive Democrats as ‘too liberal’.
It’s going to be fun to find out if defending letting your friend off for murder is no biggie or going to sink Harris though.
PI is capped at a pretty low amount. Granted that amount is probably higher than many American’s life savings.

Got the email for tomorrows “Running Mate Launch Rally” in Philly. Obviously no hint at who the VP pick is. Doors open at 2:00pm, says to be there no later than 4:30pm. Do we know what time the rally actually starts? I want to go but the logistics of the location they picked are pretty annoying. Definitely a good spot for people who live in the city though.

“Kamala” just sent me a text saying that if I donate now I’ll “be one of the first to know” before the rally, so I think @skydiver8 is probably right with the timeline - official announcement a bit before noon tomorrow, but with increasing potential for definitive leaks as the circle of people who need to know grows.

I think Beshear would be the most perplexing. He’s the only one out of the top 5 that I think it is hard to articulate any kind of argument for.
