The White House source, who spoke with FOX 2’s Roop Raj on a condition of anonymity, was not informed of who Harris had selected. However, they were told to prepare for four individuals as the finalists.
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigeg, Kentucky Governor Andy Bashear, and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
That list has been whittled down to remove Arizona Senator Mark Kelly and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker. Kelly tweeted a message to supporters on Sunday that said he was committed to serving Arizonans. A few minutes after the tweet, Kelly deleted it.
Alright, for the next 20 minutes I guess I’ll follow this random person I haven’t heard of. At least he’s almost certainly dealing in easily falsifiable fact reporting.
Beshear has also been very quiet. The only posting from Pete has been DOT stuff (and it’s all been “rah rah look what we’ve accomplished under Biden/Harris”, which is all handled by comms staff)
I think this leads me to think Shapiro might actually be out of the running. It’s always the quiet ones…
Why would him speaking tonight mean he can’t be the pick? If they’re trying to conceal the choice then having him appear is exactly what they’d do if it’s him.
