Iāve beat this drum a lot on these forums, but just because the GOP will come on at someone with a certain attack does not mean that attack will be effective. Just because they are going to try and make everyone a scary socialist does not mean that it will sway voters the same way if nominee was Bernie vs. Joe. Iām not necessarily advocating a certain strategy or that I can predict what will happen in the future, but not all candidate baggage is equal in the eyes of the voters.

Iām with Wichita and eyebooger on this one. The right wonāt have to hammer Benghazi much at all. The NYT and WaPo and MSNBC and Yahoo will cast Benghazi fishing line stories to draw in potential right-wing voters and intelligently discuss the issues. Put Trump quotes around the appropriate words.

It is not just about the attacks, but more about how you react. John Kerry was far too passive when he was swiftboated. Hillary got the Chinese water torture form of swiftboating and could not respond well because of that.
As a diplomat Susan Rice seems far too āwhen they go low, we go highā to me. As a former prosecutor Kamala Harris seems far more likely to see her opponent going low as an opening to punch them in the face, which is still going high in a way, but the kind that is far more appropriate for the campaign we are seeing.

I donāt know. I think some of it is just inertia, itās all they know. I havenāt seen the demographics of cable news watchers but I imagine itās a steady upward trend in age.
Do I know how to PR the shit out of a convention speaker schedule or what???
