2 generations back a lot of my family settled throughout the central valley - it has good spots but mostly seems miserable. there are some quite nice cities a little farther south like Redlands. I like that place. further central I go though, kinda hate it. fuck modesto, I always gotta pee when I drive through there and did not find it impressive or charming.
$2 for a medium avocado seems to be the standard price in Chicagoland. I really do miss schlong shaped avocados for like 35 cents in Nicaragua
