is anyone else bothered when people put the belt end on the wrong side?
Well I wasn’t until now.
avocados are still like $19 each at my grocery store, where’s the oversupply???
The millenials are buying them all up with SOCIALISM handouts, duh.
More like avacadon’t amiright?
if you feel comfortable in saying, where? in southern CA they’re frequently as low as 50c each even the organic kind.
$2/ea in NJ for non organic
probably related to shipping costs or something weird. the oversupply is in australia, though, but still for whatever reason they’re cheap here. i think we grow them in ca too - in a neighborhood near me there’s a tree that produces so much fruit people are welcome to just grab them otherwise it invites raccoons.
tennessee, I think they’re a little under $2 here for medium sized
I buy medium Hass avocados 2 for $3 here in Portland but they’re never ready to eat. You’ve got to remind yourself to buy a couple hard ones each time to have ready ones at home.
Not too many years ago we used to get them at farm stands in the Central Valley for 25 cents each. So yes, they do grow quite a few in California.
Ok grandpa let’s get you to bed.
those farm stands in central valley have some unbelievably good produce sometimes, good choice
Its basically the only positive thing that happens on a drive through the valley
After the farm stands, we always stopped at the same Mexican restaurant in Modesto on our way to Yosemite. This was a real treat for boys from New Hampshire, where there is no such thing as good Mexican food. Ok it’s way past my bedtime now. A little bit of Fox News and then I’ll be tucking in.
Pretty much anyone who counts a stop in Modesto as a positive is at least 80 years old, so yeah, story checks out.
