i thought encyclopedia plural was encyclopedias, but the way you write it, it sounds correct. does that mean one of those books is an encyclopedium?

I have no idea. My way was probably a typo. I’m all thumbs on this thing.

I can’t handle this guy. He’s like an extreme religious version of Big Bang Sheldon with some other annoying qualities sprinkled in.

ToC starts tonight. I’m excited that they’re using the GOAT tourney format for the final instead of the normal two-day final.

Remind what is the format? Once someone wins 2 games or 3 games?

Three.

Our trio looked quite rusty in G1. Hopefully the juggernauts don’t appear so mortal.

They did but that was a particularly hard Jeopardy round. Curious to see if the elite level of difficult questioning continues.

Great match tonight by two guys who both had a chance to win it all

Nice to see good betting strat in FJ.

I hadn’t been fully aware of the format for the first round. I was unaware of the lack of wild cards which made me ??? The DD and FJ wagers.

But in further research, it all made more sense.

Has a wildcard ever won the tournament? Even made the final?

“A Parliament of Vowels” in Game #1 DJ was a complete stumper category with zero correct answers.

Yeah that surprised me. Most of them were dead simple but I guess it’s not a topic they brushed up on.

For some reason I found Jeopardy Champion Jonathan Fisher to be pretty annoying during his initial run, but then last night when he told that story and signaled toward the crowd it was like he fully embraced heel mode and I started rooting for him just in time to watch him fumble it away. Was still weird that he pulled a full category in each round that was right in his wheelhouse which seemed to happen a lot when he was winning too (Plays & Playwrights, He Directed That?).
