All that and a horrible FJ bet from 2nd.
That was a really good game. Lock ties are always interesting.
Andrew is a worthy champion
My wife and I were talking, and maybe somebody who remembers back in the day can help.
How does the TOC work when a season is dominated by a handful of people. Lets say there are 4 contestants that win 90% of the games in a season and the remaining ten percent is made up of only 1 and 2 win champs. How do they decide the TOC? Just total money won? How did they do the TOC during Kenâs run?
They didnât have one. They came up with the Ultimate Tournament of Champions that year.
They actually donât have one every season, they can sometimes go 18-24 months between tournaments. If they donât have enough automatic qualifiers and other champions worthy of making the tournament, theyâll just hold it over until they do. James Holzhauerâs tournament was 2 years after the previous one that Buzzy Cohen won.
I donât remember another time where there multiple 10 game winners, if so maybe itâs happened 1-2 times? This year could be unique.
I know theyâve gone down to 3 game winners in the past.
I believe itâs 5 and over the
4s by money won then
3s by money won
Sometimes they have a carryover from the previous year if someone couldnât play for some reason???
If this guy does 15/20 we could have your scenario. No idea what they do.
5 games is a for sure ticket. one of the hosts said it this year
Dammit Andrew. I thought that was a really easy final jeopardy. He was so fun to watch. Rip
Yesterdayâs was quite easy and he missed that too.
It is easy to blank on Manhattan as an island. Iâve been to Hamiltonâs grave and I had to get my brain off Bermuda before realizing my error.
I guessed it correctly, but it was just a guess. I donât give myself full credit.
Yeah I couldnt get my mind off Hamilton coming from the Carribean, even though I knew he died in Jersey (Everything is legal in New Jersey.)
I think its very NYer centered to think of Manhattan as an island. When you actually live there youâre always taking bridges or tunnels to get on/off Manhattan.
I also got stuck on Hamilton being from the Caribbean. Thought it was Bahamas though when itâs actually Nevis.
Which Im sure is exactly what they were going for with the island portion of the clue
Fucking A, I just turned on yesterdayâs episode and it got preempted by the local news because Young Dolph got shot, you cannot be serious
Pretty sure the last song of Hamilton mentions Eliza being buried next to Alexander in a church in NYC. I will miss Andrewâs daily double wagers!
Ok, the new champ reminds me so much of Cartman. Face, speech pattern, the way her mouth moves when she talks.
Summary
Yes I know she is trans, but did not know that her first game when I first made the South Park association. Ken is using female pronouns, so Iâm using she/her here.
She knows her shit too. This TOC is gonna be fucking insane
