Jeopardy! Thread (No spoilers until after the show EST)

Yeah, I agree, I rule both “You Will” and “Cannot” incorrect.

Although, I feel like the guy has more of a beef, if they accept “You” for “U” but not “Cannot” for “Can’t”. However, it would still be the correct ruling (i.e., “You” is OK, “Cannot” isn’t).

The Seuss book question doesn’t have that issue.

My wife, who rarely watches J!, knew the answer right away. She is big into gift giving.

Agree w ruling. Pretty standard IMO.

pretty fucking annoying when people say both words in the response in the homophone category.

This is still a thing? The internet moved on almost a month ago.

i’m surprised how good buzzy is. i was expecting to cringe at his goofy antics but he’s nailing it

Yeah he is probably my favorite host so far which I didn’t see. Still looking forward to see Levar Burton.

Jeopardy host is such a dream gig, I get if they still don’t have a permanent host next season. I wouldn’t mind next season being a Ken, Buzzy, and Levar switch off.

Agreed on buzzy, he’s done great.

is it just me or is some of the FJ wagering this week really whack? Friday’s bets seemed pretty solid but I think people are underestimating the amount they need to get a wildcard.

What wat? You know today’s bets already?

Haven’t seen any, but Buzzy seems like he’d be great.

I’m still puzzled why Brad never got a shot. I think he’d be a natural.

Pretty sure most are going based on historical averages.

I think the low wildcard has gotten a semi spot with somewhere between 11 and 13K the last ten years or so

I meant yesterday’s

right, some people have been betting as if they think the number is below 10k

Whew. I thought maybe you were either a time traveler or a witch.

I agree

Only thing I can come up with is Brad just didn’t want it for whatever reason. I mean they did a quick segment of Brad giving advice to the TOC participants.

You don’t do that segment at all if you are even the slightest bit bitter Buzzy hosted the TOC.

brad absolutely could have gotten a two-week slot if he wanted it, zero doubt about that.

Ok, but why on Earth would he have not wanted it? Does he hate money? Or Jeopardy?

Word on the street is Ken had to stop because of obligations to The Chase. I assume Brad’s obligations were similar. Also, Brad is 100% the least charismatic of the three on that show.

WAT? Have you seen James?

I realize that we’re basically the James Holzhauer fan club here, but to non aspy non poker bros James comes off as pretty fucking weird.

Yeah, in terms of the type of charisma required for hosting a game show it’s Ken >> Brad >>>> James.
