Let N denote the number of atoms, h denote the half-life, and t denote a period of time. If N = h/t, then the probability that at least one of the N atoms will decay over time t is equal to 1/2. In this scenario t is one hour. So the number atoms should equal the number of hours in its half-life. In the case of Cesium-137 that would be 264,289 atoms.

Sorry, maybe it was unclear. It’s only over the course of an hour that the vial could break. If the Geiger counter detects anything outside of that hour window then it doesn’t do anything. If it were over the course of a year it’d be extremely close to zero. I don’t know how they got such a small sample, someone else did that part.

Who are the pedophile sex trafficker people, and what is the evidence on someone with close connections to them have to do with anything related to Epstein being alive? Who is gaslighting you? I read the appellate decision in that case, it was about a restraining order. Who are the people involved, and what do they have to do with Epstein being alive? I’m not a mental health professional, so I’m not diagnosing you, but like I said before, this is nothing like how I remember your posting, which i thought was very articulate, insightful, and well organized. It seems to me like something significant has changed, and it might be a good idea for you to see a professional. I’m not being snarky or trolling.
