Are you going to track on Christmas Day? I’m thinking about taking the day off or just giving approximations on what I ate.
Plan to, as I’ve had a lot of “days off” lately.

I was doing well until I got into a bottle of wine and the willpower went down as fast as the wine.
Wine is a killer.
Yeah and I own a few hundred bottles and counting. I know I can have wine and keep things in reasonable control though, just need more WIM.

Had a small breakfast and then skipped to a mid afternoon Christmas dinner and managed to avoid all the appetizers, booze, and dessert. Yeah me.
wow

No images with the macro nutrient breakdown for a while as I’m traveling and didn’t bring a laptop. Don’t know how to do much with the phone so will likely just log calories for the next week.
Edit to add a glass of wine which I forgot to log on fitbit
Well I’ve failed to log while here at the in laws. Too many meals prepared by others, too much booze, and too weak minded apparantly.
But I’m looking forward to getting home tomorrow and taking control of my diet once again.
And I’m starting the new year with an agreement to test working remotely 3x week, so this should really help free up time for exercise and meal planning/preparation.
I’m not going to do any other planning nor make any bold predictions. Mostly I’m going to focus one day at a time at reestablishing my diet and exercise habits.
Good luck. I also fell off the wagon the last 3 weeks.
Have worked out twice this week tho. Back to it.
I’m sore already tho.
Let’s do this!
Are you weighing yourself tomorrow?
Traveling home so probably not. I think Friday morning as that is my usual day for posting my weight.
Ok. I’m going to try and weigh everyday. I think it’s probably a good way for me to try and stay on track.
Just wanted to say, dont be too hard on yourself.
It IS hard excersing when your patterns and habits are out of whack. Focus on getting it right when you do have a good routine.
So I’ve been home for 3 days and haven’t done shit. We didn’t even get groceries until today so I’ve been eating mostly trash take out. Scale said 238 pounds but I’m guessing I’ll drop to something like 225-228 within two weeks of getting back on the horse. That would be something like a 5-8 pound gain over the last couple of months or however long it’s been since I fell off.
That’s the bad news. The good news is that we did shop today and we bought a ton of stuff to get all stocked up and ready to go again. Tomorrow I plan to spend most of the day on food prep. Some prep for meals this week, but we also bought a lot of meat in quantity and need to trim, grind, vacuum seal, etc.
Tonight I’m into the wine cellar for a vintage champagne and probably a burgundy later. Then I plan to lay off the wine for a while.

Well I managed to get through a day so I’ll take the win. A bit high on carbs and low on protein but that will sort out as I get back into the groove.
I’ve got my day all planned out tomorrow so all I need to do is stick with it and I’ll have strung two days together, which I’ll consider a start.
I do think it’s just getting into a groove and sustaining good habits. I realise I am saying that as somebody who historically has been terrible at it.

That’s pretty much a perfect day for me. Calories are perfect, macros are good, and sodium is low. I would prefer something closer to 30 grams of fiber, but I always struggle with getting the recommended amount of fiber and 23 is at least in the ballpark.
Going to plan my meals for tomorrow now, and also intend to get on the rowing machine for the first time in a while tomorrow. That’s as much planning as I’m going to do for now.

Rowing got put off tonight as I was watching the news and waiting for the world to burn.
