ITV: Impeachment Television

I generally expect professional criminals to always know where the exits are at all times. It’s like how people who expect to get into gunfights with rivals generally don’t sit with their back to a door. Knowing who you’re going to rat out if the shit hits the fan, and how you’re going to have enough to get a great plea deal, is a pretty key survival skill.

For proof see every time a criminal organization got broken up ever. It turns into a poo flinging rat fight 90%+ of the time.

It’ll be… It was all okay because the corrupt self-dealing God- and America-hating Bidens were super bad and the ends justify the means! Trump loves God and America and he’s such a gosh darned Patriot that he didn’t care if it made him look bad, he just had to get to the bottom of this for America.

Is that a log scale?

We’ll know in under a week if we’re drawing live at all to a Senate conviction. Give this a day or two to seep into the public consciousness to some degree, and then see what comes back in impeachment polling. If there’s a big move toward approving impeachment and removal, we’re drawing live. If not, it’s never ever ever ever going to happen.

I expect a mid-sized move, but not enough to matter. Mayyyybe if the likes of Pompeo and Pence decide to get behind the wheel of the bus and leave some treadmarks on Trump’s back, we could get there.

I bet Volker offers to testify again after Sondland “jogging” his memory in today’s testimony.

I hate to be the constant Debbie downer, but I fully expect there to be absolutely no move to a slight downtick for impeachment support which has been the trend line for the last few weeks. The derps are tuned out at this point and don’t give a fuck. They really don’t. President Trump could be selling cocaine to inner city elementary school kids for all they care to support his re-election campaign. They just like his racist policies.

I doubt we see a downtick after this, but I agree to the extent that I do not think we get enough support for a conviction.

Never heard those specific words.

35-40% of the people are w/ Trump no matter what and are located in politically over represented cities/town, 45-50% hate him, and 10-20% only care about the economy/issues that affect them directly.

This makes more clear than ever to that 10-20% that Trump is 10 out of 10 on the selfish piece of shit scale. That 10-20% intuitively feels that the POTUS being a complete and total selfish piece of shit isn’t good for them but thus far it hasn’t played out that way, economy keeps trending up and nothing bad has happened to them.

Yeah, this is fun for the media and political junkies, but most of the country won’t care.

Only two things will actually matter:

  • Fox News turning on him
  • Sharp stock market downturn

(And even that second one might not matter because Trump will just say that it was going fine until the impeachment stuff started ramping up)

He looked like he had just thrown up a bit in his mouth.

Off topic, but is Nate Silver Lt. Col Vindman?

The GOP is shook… Look at them faces leaving

Add me to the list of people saying none of this matters and 2020 is still a coin flip.

Trump will spin this as evidence the deep state/media/Dems hate him and his supporters and people will be fired up to support him.

Watched the PBS special on Prohibition last night as it caught my interest on Netflix. Al Capone ran every aspect of life in Chicago in the 20s and was popular w/ a large segment of the population. That is pretty much what we are dealing w/ here w/ Trump, everyone knows he is a gangster but certain people like the results of having this particular gangster in charge.

That is one of the most appropriate uses of a gif, on so many levels, that I have ever seen.
