As someone who lives who lives in Taiwan, I really wish the democrats would do more to pound home how ridiculous it is to be playing domestic political games with military aid with a country that faces an existential threat from a fascist regime.

Kiev (KEE-yev) is the Russian pronunciation. Kyiv (Ky-yiv) is the Ukrainian pronunciation. Matter of nationalism for some Ukrainians to use the latter to separate themselves from the Russians.

Nah. A lot depends on the clips the media plays but overall I think that went pretty damn well for side Fuck Trump.
Honestly, Iâm just relying on you guys to do the watching. I figure itâs a clown show where the GOP looks like a joke but manages to muddy the narrative enough to push their own simpler narrative on the MSM to make this seem either too confusing, boring, or pointless to really follow.
Instead of reporting how it really is, the media tries to maintain some NPR delusion of neutrality by giving treating both sides equally, thus giving the GOP more respect than it deserves while playing down the Democrat side which is the objectively correct one. Doing this minimizes the impact of this on Trumpâs status as POTUS and weakens its potential effect, thus indirectly protecting Trump from further harm.

IMO the big narrative fight will be
R: Ambassadors serve at the pleasure of the President, so even if we donât agree with her dismissal, the Pres gets to call the shots and it would be wrong to impeach him over a judgment call.

D: Presidential authority should be reigned in when it is exercised for a corrupt purpose. Also, if your âdiplomacyâ and âanti-corruption effortsâ require you to sideline a career diplomat in favor of your personal lawyer and a guy whose only qualification is the ability to write a big check, youâre probably up to some shady stuff.
