ITV: Impeachment Television

I’m pointing out crybaby Nunes has tissues at the ready. I thought it was funny.

Well, that’s one interpretation. The other is that he showed up prepared to see those nudes.

A+ look from Yovanovitch there. When asked about how she felt when Trump was pimping a corrupt prosecutor general.

Repost that at the break.

Finally on day 2 of impeachment hearing a Trump tweet as evidence.

Someone’s going to bring up that Goldman was drinking Fiji water (besides me).

Yovanovitch was a stalwart advocate for the rule of law, she is the antithesis to corruption and why tRUmp needed her gone. Seedy fixers and Ukrainian mobsters set out to assassinate her character and ruin her career of over 30 years of distinguished public service in some of the most war torn countries on the planet.

Has nobody read the second call transcript into the record? Perhaps with celebrity impersonators playing the roles of Trump and Zelensky?

He’s talking about the live tweeting wow.

The witness intimidation is a good line. That could be an article of impeachment.

Read the transcript. Nice.

right after Shiff says they “taking witness intimidation seriously” you see Gym Jordan grinning. Very bad look.

The C-SPAN directors see a lot of stuff, and cut to it. They’re sharp.

That last line of questioning from Goldman was spicy. Nice to see what a real lawyer can do.

Assuming I’m live on this in-forum stream (very well done @zikzak and @anon46587892) the counsel’s line of questioning is currently shredding the narrative of Biden being corrupt vis a vis his work in Ukraine. Totally and completely shredding.

Too bad not enough people are watching. Hopefully the mainstream media uses this portion to dispel any myths about that in the coming months.

The problem is that we don’t want much of that back and forth to even take place. As with many issues, the simple bullshit (Hunter Biden got a $50K no show job and daddy got the prosecutor who looked into Burisma fired) is easier to digest than the complex truth (Joe had nothing to do with Hunter getting the job, the prosecutor he looked into was the one who had cleared Burisma so his firing was more likely to get them investigated again, and Hunter wasn’t there when the alleged bad stuff happened).

So even though we’ve got the facts and the law on our side on this one, politically speaking we don’t want that debate to happen.

ftb, same strategy as from day 1. Neuter the smears that are coming before they happen.

Prediction: You will hear a lot in this hearing from the GOP about how ambassadors serve at the pleasure of the president.

Yovanovitch is a very effective witness, much more so than Taylor and Kent who were both good but with some issues.

CSPAN calls are a frightening lens into America.

I can’t remember where I saw it, but there was a bit I saw somewhere years ago about what the guy had to deal with (not sure if it is the same guy), and it was hilarious how unflappable he was. I’m not listening to any of this, as I don’t want spin, commentary, or analysis from pundits on the original source material.
