Imagine a world where the defense team gets to prepare a sketch of the crime scene and have that entered into the record as evidence, and then at the trial, they get to call it a crime scene photograph. Further imagine that their sketch somehow still shows the accused holding a gun and pointing it at the victim, but they insist because their sketch shows no smoke coming out of the gun, their client is innocent. Now further imagine that the defendant just keeps yelling “LOOK AT THE PICTURE” over and over. And then the defense adds that they have lots of witnesses saying that they heard the accused say he didn’t do it as further definitive proof. And to add, the fact that the accused never confessed to the witnesses is case closed.
