Iowa Caucus Predictions... SEASON Thread

I have to admit it would be pretty amusing to watch Biden get removed on like February 10th, 2021.

“I’m not impeached! I’m not impeached!!”, he continues to insist as he slowly shrinks and transforms into a corn cob

That could actually happen to Bernie, no way it happens to Biden.

Ethiopian immigrants who work at a pork processing plant. I’m going to guess those aren’t typical Iowa caucus voters. I’m also going to guess that 0.0% of them ever got polled by anyone.

Iowa will vote on Feb. 3rd.

Sanders is forecasted to win an average of 28% of the vote in Iowa. In 80% of simulations, he wins between 14% and 42% of the vote. He has a 2 in 5 (40%) chance of winning the most votes, slightly better than the second most likely winner, Biden, who has a 1 in 3 (33%) chance.

I feel like Donnie is not the only 1 wearing Diapers today…

Trump, ecstatic at the defection, endorses Pete in a tweet that is deleted after 24 hours.

these are “satellite” locations. They are provided for people who can’t go to the caucus at the normal time. Part of the DNC’s “make the caucus more accessible” push.

They have locations all over the country for displaced Iowans, and even some international locations.

I honestly thought there would be more people at the ones in Iowa.

That was from one of the satellite caucuses, something new this year. Essentially they are held throughout the day so that people who work at night or otherwise can’t make the 7pm caucus can still participate. Then the satellite results are all tallied together to determine their delegate allocation (I think).

We all agree on lol caucuses, right?

Caucuses are just paperless, in-person instant runoff voting. I’d spin IRV as being like caucuses, but more convenient.

Even the states agree, from the 2020 Primary wiki:

The number of states holding caucuses decreased from 14 in the 2016 nomination process to only three in 2020.

no Biden people. interesting.

Do they even exist anywhere other than telephone polls?
