Strange game tbh, bit slow and tedious at times, but it helped us to a certain extent to get the rushing of blood out the head, then a bad defensive set up against them it seems to be & was bringing the nerves.

Scotland’s coming on strong during this half but they can’t seem to finish.
Czech Republic’s defense is pretty awful.
Tierney loss was massive for us

With a FIFA ranking in the 40s that’s to be expected tbh.
Surprisingly the team has had past success in Euro tournaments (runner-up 1996, 3rd place 2004) but soccer definitely isn’t this country’s sport.
They had some very good players in those teams, unlike this one - Cech, Rosicky, Nedved, Smicer etc.
Czechoslovakia even won it in 76 against West Germany (deathstrike shootout), though by boring everyone to death iirc.
Man just waking up but that 2nd Czech goal is a gk worst nightmare. Always tough to take getting chipped but what in the world are you supposed to do with that?
