Trump wants to eliminate carried interest, this would be A+ leopard/face, zero chance Dems would have done that
I would be so happy if trump accidentally backed into eliminating carried interest and taxing employer-sponsored healthcare. Two completely indefensible tax policies that a normal Congress would never get rid of.
If the republicans are going to fight him on anything it’s this. They won’t care if he kills millions. They will care if he tried to raises taxes $1.
Boy what could a group of unbelievably rich hedge fund people possibly do to sway Trump’s opinion on this. Let me think on it, I’m sure something will come to me.

Yeah, it’s kind of like the time he blurted out “why don’t we just make the government do all the healthcare” because even his stupid ass can see that is obviously the correct solution, and then the for-profit murder industry, er, I mean the “health care” industry, threw all their lobbying might into getting him to fall in line.
