I guess we need a Summer Olympics thread…?

I mean NBC has been the WOAT Olympics coverage in the modern world ever since they bought the rights. Every reason to expect that to continue

BUt dId tHeY HaVe sEX?

Please link it if so. tia

I dunno my YouTubeTV prompted me to record any Olympic event. Broke it down by sport

I might have to get YooToobe TV for a month, which is annoying since it’s expensive af.

I feel like the last time around the Olympics site let you stream any of the stuff live, but maybe my memory is failing me. Time zones are a thing too.

Like I said. Brilliant move by Pop.

IIRC in Rio they had the mens 200m final in the middle of the day, and NBC blocked American viewers from watching it until they put it in their primetime coverage with like 37 mins of commercials per hour.

It was available to watch on Twitter in its entirety like 15 minutes after it finished.

Yea Twitter is the GOAT when it comes to stuff like the Olympics.

You guys need to step up your piracy skills

I get the Canadian and USA coverages and its astounding how bad the NBC coverage is.

The beds in question can actually support up to 441 pounds, a press released from Inside The Games said. That’s more than two times the average weight of an American man.

A Japanese bedding company, Airweave, is providing Olympic athletes with the 18,000 beds and mattresses made of polyethylene.

The cardboard beds were made to be sustainable, but also comfortable, according to Takashi Kitajima, a Tokyo 2020 organizer in charge of the Athletes’ Village.

“(The beds) will be recycled into paper products after the Games, with the mattress components recycled into new plastic products,” the news release read from Inside The Games. “This will be the first time in Olympic and Paralympic history that all beds and bedding are made almost entirely from renewable materials.”

Canadian Olympic coverage has been great in the past. I expect it to be great again this year.

Here’s the streaming schedule which I think is just everything streamed live.

I wonder if the other “1st”
World countries allowed athletes the choice to vax or not to vax.

Yeah this is going to go well.

What are your favorite sports to watch?

For me, it’s mostly stuff that I’ll rarely get a chance to see outside of the Olympics: handball, water polo, gymnastics are among my favorites.

Although I’m normally a fan of stuff like soccer, golf, baseball, I barely give a damn during the Olympics.

I’d say I’m most amped about Rugby 7s. I’d probably watch every second of it if I were single and had no commitments.

I will watch swimming because that was the sport of my youth.

track and field is #1 for me. swimming #2.

Israel has always been very good at Judo so it’s something I watch at the olympics. Gymnastics and diving is always fun because I get to make up my own rules for the scoring.

tbh I watch most things but I don’t enjoy cycling which has a tons of events and the longer team competitions (soccer, handball, etc)
