They shouldnt do it with these hightech bows. Give them one of the robin hood movies.
The athletes should have to fell a tree and string their own bow at the start of the competition.
2nd gold medal for Kosovo in Judo. The other 4 went to Japan. What an unlikely force.
Where you touch down determines where you kick the conversion from. Also provides funny moments where attackers cross the threshold and try to move closer to make for an easier conversion and get absolutely rekt by defenders. You can still crush them in the end zone until they touch down.
Dolph Ziggler got an olympics spectator invite?
Id be curious to know how many golds have ever been won from lane 1 or 8
I imagine it happens from time to time in the sprints and would guess it becomes more and more rare the longer the race.
Attempting to become the next Vuvuzela craze?
What is the sport with the least number of competitors? Seems crazy to me that they have Olympic softball with 6 teams. And two of those teams probably shouldn’t even be there (Italy was outscored 13-0 in its games and Australia 17-4). If that few nations play the sport, it makes no sense to me that it’s in the Olympics.
I guess they feel since they have baseball they have to have softball?
Softball only first got included in the games in 1996. This year is the first time again since 2008. Softball and baseball are not coming back in 2024.
Yeah, I think the driving force behind softball not coming back is only a handful of places play it, which is fine, but if you’re going to have it included, at least do it right.
IMO- It’s really a slap in the face to softball players that they’ll spend billions of dollars for the games yet softball has to play on modified baseball fields. Really putting in the minimal effort for its last time at the games. Hell, the fields I play beer league softball on are actual softball fields with amazing real grass that get maintained by a couple of town employees who water and cut it occasionally.
Women’s 3x3 basketball is fun as hell. Incredibly fast paced.
Japan had a surprisingly close loss against rugby powerhouse Fiji. I expected a blowout, but those guys really brought it.
I screwed up timewise for bets, so let’s do another poll. My intention is to place a bet for an event taking place on Tuesday. Will do a poll to pick a sport, then do a poll
later today to pick a bet on that sport.
- Men’s basketball
- Women’s basketball
- Cycling time trial
- Men’s synchronized diving

Tuesday already came and went in Tokyo I think.
I’m going off the times and dates from the sports book kiosk.
I don’t really like the olympics and most of these sports are boring, but I would absolutely tune in if they had drinking competitions. It’s an event about national pride and seeing the best in the world, but there is no representation of the primary recreational activity for many countries.
Who wouldn’t want to see an underdog defeat the Russians in vodka consumption? Ireland vs Germany in the grand finals of beer drinking would have people rushing to the sportsbooks in a patriotic fervor.
I don’t think it’s a good idea to turn an activity that can result in long-term harm to the participants into a competitive event. [Looks at american football] Eh nevermind.
Beerfest is better than super troopers.
