Some that we and our 11 year old like
- Carcassone - building a city. It’s got some luck so kids can win it. Some expansions are good.
- Azul - tile drawing / set playing game.
- Everdell - longest playing time, but cutest cards/figures. Tough for a kid to win, though.
- Quacks of Quedlinburg - this is a push your luck game, so kids can win. Though for this one, my kid is also a wicked fucking cheater.
- Villainous.
- We’re big Ticket to Ride fans, and I think for 3 players Nordic Countries or Switzerland are the best. Europe is better than US as well.
Two two player games we love: Patchwork and Jaipur.
