Yes. It freezes for quite a long time.
For troubleshooting purposes, I tried only unliking. Works fine.

Just started seeing another heart emoji, on the left bottom of posts, with a number next to it. What is it?
Some kind of glitch showing the likes in two spots.
That or it’s some kind of megalike that’s escaped containment.

Seems an Important safety update that allows you to click to see who has liked a post you don’t agree with, without risk of accidentally liking it yourself. Insta needs something similar because half the time I try to mute an annoying reel it decides I wanted to like the reel instead

Seems like they’ve separated the right side icons for actions you can take: like, link, bookmark, report, and reply.
The left heart icon shows the like count and who liked it. Once I liked the ggoreo post above, the count increased to 2 and both heart icons filled in.
ok got it. I can’t see the right one filled in, but that must just be for the liker now.

The new Like UI is horrible IMO. I never know where to look/click. Any way to revert to the previous? I guess I’ll get used to it after a while.

Heart likes being disconnected from the heart icon is weird and disorienting.

All I’ve noticed recently is the heart counter on the left side. Everything else seems exactly the same?
Maybe some custom UI if you receive more than 5 hearts, your UI just starts exploding with hearts like this
