If I remember correctly, it ties to this group named Emoji that maybe sees larger emojis? Thinking only they would be impacted by making changes.

With so many posts deleted it’s impossible to find out, but if this is how you feel, I hope you had his back when c.u.s.e.r.o.u.n.d.e.r and friends were so disgustingly slandering him.
lol fuck off micro. he did that shit. he shouldn’t be welcome back.
You fucking idiot. Even I am shocked that you are that stupid. JFC.
Why would I need to be welcomed back, I was never not welcome?
This is true. Not sure why anything would need to be corrected. Does it still work?

Still works imo
I guess what they don’t like is in the head section of the theme it checks to see if users are a member of the Emoji group and if they are, adds the emoji class to the <body> tag. I don’t know how I figured out how to do that at the time, and wouldn’t have any idea how they’d want it done now
Using
<script type='text/discourse-plugin>or<script type='text/x-handlebars'>in themes is now deprecated.
Think it uses handlebars. I see it works because you just get warnings now until
Late September 2025 - removal of feature.
Best solution is just disable/delete the Emoji theme component and make the 13 people in the emoji group go back to having small emojis again
I’m not
I don’t know what the deal is with ggoreo but any fan of community channel is OK in my book.
The root cause for the issues during upgrades appear to be the same. This has me thinking about how can the system around upgrades be improved. Sorry, this is just a natural habit from doing dozens of RCAs at work.
Are there a lot of other plugins in the app.yml? If the list is small, it may be worth vetting them before doing the upgrade. I’m not exactly sure what that process looks like, but happy to try and figure it out. It might be as simple as asking GeePeeTee to evaluate the list and compare it to the upgrade version. A little upfront there may save you a headache in debugging.
Thanks for keeping the site going.
Haha, awesome that I apparently went through exactly the same thing 3 months ago and completely forgot about it.
I think all the plugins have now been stripped out of the containers/app.yml:
There’s only that one left, and I think that one’s critical.
For future reference, anyone can email me at spidercrab2000@outlook.com if there’s a problem with the site.
I hit like on a post but now I want to remove it before someone sees I liked that post and judges me for it. However, it seems that you can only unlike a post if you weren’t the first Liker. I can like and unlike spiders post above but if I’m the first person to like a post I can’t revoke it. Has this always been the case?
I promise this isn’t engagement bait hoping people will like my post to test this out
I couldn’t remove my like to Spiders post
I liked this post and then unliked it.
Me too
Huh, I can like and unlike your posts too. Maybe there is a time limit. I’ll try to unlike them in half an hour
I also just liked and unliked your post
Anyone else getting scroll freezes when stopping on imbedded tweets or tiktok vids? It’s becoming really annoying for me
