Great American hegemony - our definitions count, yours don't, wherever you are.

How many people need to quote the original exchange for you before you stop lying about it?

Sounds like if I just explained why it was offensive, you’d tell me to shove it up my ass.

“A term of endearment for black people” is like the classic example of NOT being an acceptable reason to use a word.

LOL your first statement actually accused me of racism “if a white person in America said that, it would be dripping with racism.”

I read his post as meaning a term of endearment for the long-disappeared machine. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong and I retract what I said about welcoming him.

Are you this tilted that someone you despise called you out and the punch landed, or are you just that incapable of reading and comprehending the English language?

“if a white person in America said that, it would be dripping with racism.”

IT, the word would be dripping with racism. “It” is a word, not a person, a person would be “he” or “she.”

I really did not think I was going to get to teach the you about the English language today, but, whaddayaknow?

After accusing me of racism and not getting the response he wanted (surprise) he went on to say that. Just go back and read it all.

I just posted it all, that’s the very first use of the r-word. Stop making shit up.

Wait, I don’t despise anyone I know or post with. That’s way too strong.

That wasn’t clear. Maybe it’s an American idiom but that is a pretty clear implicit accusation of racism.

I mean, for fuck’s sake, jalfrezi. I knew you were going to die on this hill for reasons I’ve already stated, but I didn’t know you were going to make this much of a spectacle of yourself.

Your reinvention of the beginning of this discussion is Trumpian. You’re not going to gaslight any of us, you need to come up with a better strategy.

I don’t have a “strategy”. I don’t like being called a racist or being told I’m using racist tropes when they aren’t racist here.

Go back and take a minute to look at the other Brits’ and Louis’s posts.

OK, whatever word you want to use. You dislike me so much that this triggered you into a meltdown of epic proportions.

It’s a pretty clear accusation of using a racist word, no more, no less. You’re the only person in this thread who has failed to grasp that, either that or you mischaracterized it willfully.

Once you started using the exact same defenses that American deplorables use, you made your own bed.

? That what I was saying. You accused me of racism If you want to walk it back now, go ahead. I really couldn’t care less.

I’m sorry you don’t like it, but it doesn’t change the facts:

  1. It’s a racist word.

  2. You used it.

  3. You kept defending using it, while using all the same arguments American deplorables make about the n-word, Confederate flags, etc.

  4. You keep doubling down.

No matter how much you bullshit, divert, or claim to be in the right, you cannot change those facts.

Haha ok, so now according to you it’s racist everywhere despite what people itt are telling you.

jesus, what conceitedness.

Get a fucking passport and see some of the actual world, not the one on google.

There are two things here.

  1. At the beginning, I did not insinuate you were a racist, I said the word was. You have mischaracterized that repeatedly in an attempt to reframe this whole thing as having started because I called you racist. You’ve gone so far as to describe an interaction in which you would have behaved much differently, yet it was identical to what I actually said.

  2. Once you started trotting out the racist’s playbook to defending racist words, I did, in fact, say that you were either racist or cared far less about racism than you had let on. At this point, having read your work in this thread today, I do think you’re racist. I don’t think you realize it yourself, but you are.

I think it’s hilarious you guys are clutching your pearls at this when @Sabo repeatedly uses the word lynching to describe banning posters. Gets told the word is extremely problematic especially in the wake of RL lynchings recently, still uses it - no one says anything.

You guys just like to dunk on people you don’t like, that’s all this conversation is, that’s all any conversation is on this site.

No matter how many people explain that they didn’t know it was racist, don’t think it’s racist, or don’t understand its racist origins, the point remains that it is a racist word. Your response to it was not to reconsider, but to double, triple, quadruple, etc, down.

I have a passport and I’ve been to Europe, even. Nice try, though.

Yeah that’s exaclty it, though I didn’t want to say it. They’re all in some way wild eyed patriots who can’t stand to see a Brit posting negative things about the US, despite it being commonplace here. Racism much? lol

That’s why I made comments itt (and elsewhere) about them being part of the problem, not the solution.

Sabo doesn’t cry about it for 100 posts thus there’s not really a convo to be had.

I’ve cried about fuck all. All my posts have been dealing with exactly ther sort of patriotic gung ho bullshit you get from Trumpers.

Hmmmmmm.
