I suppose “had” is more accurate. At the beginning of the pandemic I moved from a small off grid cabin into a roughly 200 year-old farmhouse. It had 2 beautiul barns. Still does. After a year, home ownership (or perhaps this one in particular, with its old roof and older basement) started to stress me tf out. I hated rain bc I worried about leaks and wet sub basements and all that. Something always seemed about to break. Sold in 2023.

The place was beautiful. One barn had planting notes from the 1830s written on a door in it. The barns were one of my favorite parts. Hand hewn lumber in one.

Now I’m back in the cabin, plus a camper I bought. Big rainstorms are fun again.

Every episode of KF is insane, I knew InfoWars was garbage but actually hearing the clips with commentary was really enlightening.

I know this is going to be hard to believe, but Las Vegas politician and crazy gun-nut republican Michele Fiore (you may remember her from this loving family Christmas card):

seems to have done some grifting. Completely unexpected.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Nevada politician and former Las Vegas City Councilmember Michele Fiore is facing federal charges for allegedly soliciting donations to build a statue honoring local police officers killed in the line of duty and then using the money to pay for her daughter’s wedding and other bills.

Fiore, 53, faces four counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud following a probe into her campaign finances.

According to the indictment, Fiore solicited donations and promised donors “100% of the contributions” would go toward the statue when she was a councilwoman. Fiore allegedly used tens of thousands of dollars in donations to pay off her political fundraising bills, rent, and daughter’s wedding.

Currently, a justice of the peace in Pahrump, Nevada, Fiore has a controversial political history. She’s a former Nevada legislator, Las Vegas city councilwomen, and a Republican gubernatorial candidate.

that’s gotta be shopped

“Matt Gaetz (R-Botox),” journalist Peter Hamby wrote on X, formerly Twitter, while poking fun at the notation used to indicate a politician’s party affiliation and the state they represent.

“Matt Gaetz looks like he’s about to open a white tiger-themed magic show on the Las Vegas strip,” journalist Emily Zanotti tweeted.

“Gaetz got a little carried away with the Botox before his big speech,” Ron Filipkowski, editor of Medias Touch, said.

Matthew Gertz, a senior fellow at Media Matters for America who is often mistaken for the congressman online, also wrote on the social media platform, “i did not take botox please stop asking me whether i took botox.”

I guess there wasn’t enough left over to fix the baldness train from pressing on

I like how assholes always go with the slicked-back hairstyle once they rise in status a little bit.
