Banning hemp is a priority for the Texas AG. Can’t have people getting high.
I mean saying things like “We’re going to protect the people of Texas from THC.” is obviously laughable, but the hemp derived alternative cannabinoid shit you can buy at most gas stations now is a huge problem and a blight on the medicinal hopes of hemp products.
Stuff like this + potential SSA changes… is it too early to call this Boomer Remover Part Deux? Maybe Deux-mer, kinda like Doomer
Yeah the thc-a stuff is weird because it’s not illegal before it is heated up but if you get caught with residue after combustion it is already a felony.
My issue is banning hemp doesn’t get Texas closer to legalization in my opinion. They need to push legalization to clean up the current gas station/headshop conundrum.
Is there a serious push in TX for legalization? The altnoid stuff seems like a nationwide problem. Past two states I’ve lived have had medicinal + rec cannabis programs and the untested hemp products are still everywhere.
Texas is pretty far away from legalization. Places like Dallas have decriminalized leaf but vapes and edibles are felonies everywhere in the state. The powers that be Abbott, Patrick and the rest don’t want it at all. It’s never been close to being legalized, they don’t let citizens vote on this stuff and the state congress only meets every other year. I have long said texas would likely be one of the last states if not the last to legalize weed.
I didn’t realize states with legal weed also are dealing with the hemp issue.
my state has medical only and i can literally walk to 5 dispensaries, most with posh one word names. i think like over 10% of the state population has a medicinal card. it’s a total farce.
Now that NJ has finally gotten their regulations up and running, I’m proud to say my small (in population anyway) town now features Doobiez, The Plant Club, Jersey Roots, and It’s 4Twenty Somewhere. I mean it seems a bit excessive but we have half a dozen liquor stores too so why not. We have a problem keeping storefronts occupied anyway.
Isn’t it defacto legal in all 50 states due to delta variants?
Every time some restaurant or nail salon closes down in a strip mall in my neighborhood, we get a shiny new all-glass smoke shop in its place. Can’t ever have enough of those apparently.
we have legal weed stores all over my city, soon we’re getting cafe’s
texas sounds like hell on earth
They recently removed the bulletproof glass from my dispensary, so that place feels way more cosmopolitan now.
There are like 5-6 dispensaries less than 5 minutes from my house, and at least 15 dispensaries that I know of within a 15-20 minute drive. Git to umagine the market will get saturated at some point but they’ve all been in business now for a couple years so maybe not.
Yes and no I guess. People in jail for a felony for thc residue found on a delta vape pen.
I don’t feel like this statement would land in the top 20 MTG has made that makes her a national disgrace.

This video is a nice little illustration of how bullshit takes hold though. Like “all cancers have gone up” is a super vague statement (intentionally) and so is “since the inception of vaccination”. Like the population of the US has tripled in the last 100 years. The incidences of lots of things have gone up while the incidence rates of gone down. Cancer incidence rates have been in decline for a long time. Mortality rates for people with cancers have been in decline. But sure lady, all cancers have gone “up”.
“Our lifespan should be 120 years” - what does “should” mean here? Actual observable life expectancies have been going up steadily for 100 years because of science of and public heath acheivements. What “should” have happened instead? There is no “should” in science, there is just what “is”. If you think that scientific results are not what they “should” be, then your opinion is not “educated”.
seems a little pedantic, and cancer rates are indeed increasing and are expected to continue to do so:
Widespread vaccination absolutely increases cancer deaths. It also increases the number of birthday cakes sold per person.
