I think if he wanted to make that point he should have just said “I think Israel is a terrorist state” instead of saying “I hope you don’t get murdered for being a terrorist in the eyes of Israel” in a snotty way. The tone of his voice made everyone at the table assume he just hoped death on the other guy…

That dude seems like a huge POS, but it’s not clear to me that he was wishing death on Mehdi. I think he put approx zero thought into it and thought it was some sort of dunk, when it actually sounds like the thing that they thought it sounded like.
I kind of think Mehdi might have thought similar, but saw an opportunity to take the high ground and seized it. Well played. Fuck Girdusky.
