Knowing/learning what it’s like to be poor at entry level in the entertainment industry is very true, even though I already knew what being poor was like growing up and all the way through college scraping through on every dime. I had some really scary financial times in that first year after college (especially getting the first 2 month heating bill in L.A.) because I was living on the bleeding edge. I had a tiny amount of help on gas in the first year and a car that I’d had since high school, but that was pretty much it.
