The incentives and feedback loop for Republicans are pretty crazy right now. Despite their actual policies being almost unbelievably unpopular in a two party system, every incentive for individual GOP politicians is to dial up the insanity even more.
They’re either going to go extinct or institute one party rule. I honestly think the odds of each outcome are close to even.

I think I understand why morons like Kirk would have this take. Both my current and last employer were very large corporations and they both make a HUGE deal out of being on the right side of the culture war stuff. My last employer is a Fortune 500 company professional services firm and they gave us reading lists last year including stuff like How To Be An Antiracist. My current employer is a large insurance company and I get information daily on all our corporate support for disadvantaged groups. My new employee training had a whole section on supporting transgender colleagues.
People like Kirk could only assume that this means corporations are antifa socialists.
