GOP Insanity Containment: Beets, Gazpacho, and Lube

Needs her gun on the capitol to protect her family who presumably lives in…Colorado? It’s all just buzzwords at this point.

My friends thought I was being hyperbolic when I said that electing Donald Trump was the end of the America as we knew it. “Oh he’ll quit the theatrics and be a regular president” they’d tell me. “You’re overreacting.” “Nothing will change.”

I don’t relish being proven correct.

I have family members that still tell me I’m overreacting. My brother said “He was given 4 years and America didn’t like the job he did so we elected Biden.” As if that solves the fucking problem.

So what ended up happening in PA with the GOP refusing to acknowledge the democratic guy?

When it came time for newly elected and reelected Senate Democrats to take the oath of office, Brewster stepped aside to defuse what had been shaping up as a standoff. Fetterman subsequently left the chamber.

“I had no desire to ruin picture day,” Fetterman said afterward. “It came down to, there’s got to be a way for both sides to maintain their dignity and we can find a way forward. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.”

Fetterman is the Democratic Lt. Governor and, thus, president of the Senate. Republicans control the Senate 28-22. The State Supreme Court says that Brewster won and his election certified, but there is a case going through federal court. Republicans refuse to seat Brewster until that case is finished, or so they say. Fetterman tried to seat Brewster. Republicans objected and removed him and replaced him with the president pro tem, who was elected 31-18 (so a few Dems voted for him) in what is normally a bipartisan, non-controversial vote for a mostly ceremonial post.

It feels stupid and petty because it doesn’t affect control of the Senate.

Disappointed that Fetterman didn’t drop some Mongolian chops and Garvin stomps on those Republican heels.

We have a lot of nazis in the government. The one below was appointed by trump, after he lost this election, to a post on the commission for overseeing Holocaust sites until 2023. He was fired from the WH before for giving a speech to neo-nazis

Just having a normal one. Not only censuring Cindy, but also smearing John’s war record.
