Currently the tower says “PRAY for Ukraine” they just cannot help but troll 100% of the time.

Live from Music Row Monday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed former Trump administration Department of State Spokesperson Morgan Ortagus in studio to answer questions about Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District.

Leahy: It’s that time of day again, not for “News Potpourri.” We have a candidate for the 5th Congressional District in our studio, and we’re going to play a different game called “Taking the Fifth.”

All right. You’re a good sport here to play the game. Morgan Ortagus is here. We have candidates come in and we ask them their knowledge of the 5th Congressional District. Are you ready?

Ortagus: Yes.

Leahy: Here we go. What three interstate highways are located in the 5th Congressional District?

Ortagus: I’m a terrible driver. (Laughs) I don’t know that. I don’t drive anywhere that I go.

Leahy: Okay. It’s I-65, I-40, and I-24.

A rather well-known Confederate general – one whose name and history have been a source of enormous controversy in Tennessee the last few years – was born and raised in the community of Chapel Hill, in the 5th district. Who was he?

Ortagus: I don’t know.

Leahy: Nathan Bedford Forrest.

What county is Chapel Hill in?

Ortagus: I don’t know.

Leahy: Marshall County. It’s in your district.

lol - this is one of many reasons why I could never run for office. I would totally get nailed at some point not knowing something I should know.

A quiz to run for Congress? She’s no sucker, she didn’t pay attention to the LiBeRaL eDuCaTiOnAl BrAiNwAsHiNg. Sure, she might not know what counties are in her district, but at least she didn’t learn any of that there CRT either!

You don’t have to know shit to avoid being gotchya’d, you just have to shamelessly pivot.

Question 1 she should have pivoted to how interstate highways are just federal overreach and socialism from the communist Biden administration, and all roads should be maintained by states so that locals can make proper decisions.

Question 2 she should have pivoted to Confederate monuments being awesome and evil liberal elites wanting to tear them down to hide Tennessee’s proud history.

Question 3 she should have laughed and said she’s terrible at geography because she didn’t pay attention in high school, but that also means she didn’t learn any of that CRT nonsense, which is why she’s running for Congress, to keep the liberal elites from brainwashing Tennessee’s kids.

I don’t think I’d be a great politician because I’m not a glad-handing, know suspiciously too much about minute details of people in my district of person, but I feel like I could at least hit the major themes of highways, counties, and major cities in my district.

Oh yeah, for sure. I know enough about where I live that I wouldn’t be a phony. My biggest problems would be a) I wouldn’t be able to handle debates/press conferences because every one of my responses would be, “Are you fucking serious?” and b) the disruption of my/my family’s life with threats, etc, would just be too much.

Read this thread. I wish Cruz’ daughter and any other right wing politicians teenage kids would get together and loudly announce they are trans and demand their parents be investigated.

Where is the DOJ? There should be an immediate attempt at an injunction (lol 5th circuit and SCOTUS) but they should at least be trying.

The new legal filing in Travis County shows that at least one family, the plaintiffs known as the Doe family, is already being investigated. Jane Doe, the mother of a trans child, Mary, is herself a DFPS > employee, according to the filing. On February 23, after the Paxton and Abbott directives, she sought guidance from her supervisor about how the changes would impact her work. “Such clarification was important for her family as well as to her ability to perform her job at DFPS,” the filing states. “That same day, and just mere hours later, Jane Doe was placed on leave from her employment because she has a transgender daughter with a medical need for treatment of gender

The Does are also now being investigated by DFPS. Two days after Jane was sent home on leave, a DFPS Child Protective Services investigator came to the Doe home. “The CPS investigator disclosed that the sole allegation against Jane Doe and John Doe is that they have a transgender daughter and that their daughter may have been provided with medically necessary gender-affirming health care and is ‘currently transitioning from male to female.’”

Following up on the Florida county that wants to ban books, my childhood best friend has been named to the review panel that will decide on the books’ “literary value.” She is a professor of English Lit at Florida Southern College. That will be one vote in favor of keeping them all, of course.

The reasoning for it sucks, but I’d read 16 books if the government asked me to.

There should be a quiz just to make sure everybody did the reading.
