I watched him “coach” when Cinci visited Temple his last year. Dude was just wondering the sideline. Assistants were doing everything. He was stealing his paycheck.
Republican support for “socialism but only for white people” is absolutely coming. They don’t really oppose government handouts to people that “deserve” them.

Yeah, he deserves his due. I don’t remember it so have no idea when he called it. If it was 10+ that’s even more impressive.
He also called Hispanics identifying as white and trending Republican, which I thought was certifiably insane at the time.

That’s less crazy. Lots of them are very religious (especially Catholic) and would be naturally aligned that way on social issues.
Also in Latin America there definitely exist divisions between some whiter and not white subpopulations. So it’s not that surprising for something like that to happen here.
