Wars costs money that would be better spent at home.Rights wing “anti war” arguments are mirror image but oppressing, well trying and failing to oppress, people over there saps our ability to oppress people over here.

What’s the Republican position on Ukrainian refugees? Should other countries accept them or should those countries protect their borders and keep them out?
Do they count as white? Then odds are they won’t reject them.

This is going to be the foreign policy equivalent of Congressional Dems writing letters. Some weak-ass sanctions that don’t do much, and lots of strongly worded but stately speeches. I would assume Putin priced in a significant risk of oil sanctions, anything short of that is going to be a walk in the park as far as his risk-reward is concerned. Same for taking them off SWIFT.

As usual, they take both sides an argument depending on how it suits them. On the one hand, Conservatives have been cheering Putin. On the other hand, they blame Biden for Putin’s aggression.
