She may have been forced to apologize by McCarthy, though McCarthy would probably never admit he disciplined at unruly nutjob.
Who even cares if she apologized anyhow? Crazy psycho literally wishes Omar was dead and would physically quiver in delight were she afforded the glorious opportunity to murder her in cold blood consequence-free, but yah she’s super super cross her heart sorry.

My guess is she took one for the team, and the apology is a setup so the GOP can censure and strip committee assignments from Ilhan Omar when she says something not-at-all offensive and the future GOP majority gets outraged, demands she apologies, and says “Boebert apologized to her”.

It’s also just part of the broader conservative ratchet strategy of taking 10 steps in one direction and 1 step back, then calling it a draw and feasting on naive media credit for the 1 step back.

Boebert won her seat by 6 points. Perhaps she’s seeing polling that says her cray-cray is going to cost her in the upcoming election.
Her district is more red under the new Colorado proposed map, so I’m not confident at all that she has a good chance of losing.
